What is your opinion on artificial sweeteners?

Have you noticed anything when you take them? How do they make you feel? Do they make you hungrier, less hungry? Tell me what you know. Do you think they're safe? Is it possible to be addicted to artificial sweeteners? Are they too good to be true? Just curious. A couple years ago I drank calorie-free drink mixes all the time, as well as diet sodas. I noticed feeling spacier, lightheaded, forgetful. Was it just in my head?
