How can I tell my parents about my 'forbidden' relationship?

All you need to know is that i am an adult and I'm in an amazing, very real and spiritual relationship with my significant other who is 23 years older than me. Please no disrespect. I'm looking for some helpful suggestions on how I can break the news to my parents who have always been protective and conservative. I'm sad because they probably will look at the situation as the majority of people out there would, and I don't blame them. They can't see what I see. I am very intuitive and I am certain that the relationship has nothing to do with age. When we are together, age does not matter. I love my family and I just don't want to lose their respect. Please help me out. Don't call me a gold digger because he really doesnt make much money, I love him for him and I help out financially when I can.
