Missed period for a long time!?

I have missed my period for probably 10 to 11 months now. I told my docter about 2 months ago and she got an ultrasound and bloodwork done and she said everything looked okay, but my ovaries arent ovulating. What is that supposed to mean! Now that i still havent gotten a period i am beginning to think something is wrong, she i see a gyno? i have no idea, i have talked to alot of ppl and no one has said they have heard of this! i know ppl say its normal to miss but not like this! ( i am a virgin)
