Do you think that shelters are still bias against large breed dogs?

It's not the shelter but the folks who allow their dogs to run loose & get picked up or surrender their pets. Small dogs have more people willing to adopt so they typically don't end up at the shelters as often as large/giant dogs. The majority of dogs at my shelter are large unfixed males - surrendered or picked up. These dogs are the hardest to find homes for the right owners who want to work with them, afford them & the grooming cost/shedding dark hair. Many rentals don't even allow dogs over 25lb if at all.
