Has anyone played zelda on the wii?

im having a really hard time using the stupid fishing pole. I have read every faq made & i still dont get it. i managed to actually catch 1 fish. I still have to get another one to get the cats attention...i knocked down the nest a while ago but now i cant find a jar OR larva or honey for bait. Please help me.
