Does dyslexia cause weird mind problems?
My friend is dyslexic, and there's a few things I'm wondering about it. I was told, not by the family, that dyslexia is entirely a visual disorder, and nothing odd. They seem to blame A LOT on his dyslexia. They say that every time he guesses something right, it's because of it. They also say that dyslexia causes letters in books to walk across the paper and for random black dots to appear on his vision, and every now and then he apparently sees through a wall. I am a witness to him seeing through a wall. Me and his older brother were talking at school in the hallway with our friend, and he asked us "Who was that kid in the red shirt you were talking to?" and this was behind quite a bunch of walls and the kid wasn't talking to us anywhere else. Also, they claim he can see in people's minds every now and then and I've heard stories about it. Also, this one really puzzles me. We were watching a video on youtube about a guy who is a pro at sling shotting, and the reporter goes "this would be this man's four thousand one hundred and fif" and then he paused it. He then said, "56th", and his brother played the video and it was 56th. They told their mom about it and she said it was his dyslexia and he had never seen that video before. I have a very good arguement about it though, because I do not believe that was the cause of dyslexia...Dyslexia is entirely a visual impairment, not anything that has to do with predicting things or whatever. Can somebody explain this to me please? I really want them to stop acting like their son is magic and blaming all coincidences on dyslexia.
