US Army Rangers.........?

Are former soldiers of the 75th Ranger Regiment still considered by others to be "Rangers"? If, perhaps, they are now Green Berets or are retired? Is a former Ranger considered a Ranger until death, in the same sense as a Marine is considered a Marine until death? Is it that sort of fraternity?
