Dogs are fighting over dominance?

I got a puppy[Golden Retriver back in march last year, and now he just turned one. I have a mini schnauzer who i've had for 3-4 years who is now five. Recently the two dogs have been fighting. The schnauzer always barks and jumps up on me, almost aggressively, trying to get my attention.Some times he runs up and gets in the Golden's face, thats when the fights started. The fights only happen when im with the dogs, and the fights stop when i leave. [there has only been 3-4 fights,none of them have been too bad].On one of the fights, i saw the golden standing over the schnauzer with his tail up and when i run over there they start to fight. Are they fighting for my attention? Are they fighting over dominance? Or is the Golden annoyed by the schnauzer? How do i fix this?
